Christmas Sandy's Recipe

SANDY'S AMARETTI BISCUITS

Wingbird Sandy shares her cherished family recipe for Amaretti Biscuits, a delightful treat passed down to her from her cousin Penny as a special birthday gift. Now, in the spirit of the season, she's excited to share it with you for Christmas.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup x Caster Sugar
  • 3 Cups x Almond Meal
  • 3 x Egg Whites
  • 3 Drops x Almond Essence
  • 3 tsps x Vanilla Galliano (or 1 tps Vanilla Essence)
  • Icing Sugar for Dusting

COOKING UTENCILS

  • 2 x Bowls (mixing ingredients)
  • Mixing Spoon
  • Baking Tray
  • Baking Paper
  • Sieve (Icing sugar dusting)

METHOD

Preheat oven to 170 degrees. Meanwhile, combine almond meal and sugar in a large bowl, mixing them together.

Combine egg whites, almond essence, vanilla Galliano (or 1 tsp vanilla essence) in a small bowl. Then add wet ingredients to the almond meal and sugar mixture. Roll into small balls and place on a baking tray.

Bake for 15-18 minutes, then allow the biscuits to cool. Once they’ve rested, use a sieve to dust them with icing sugar before serving.
