I’ve always loved the idea that there is a season for everything and winter feels like the perfect time to slow down and seek comfort and warmth. Luckily, the birds in the nest have been busy designing and curating a range that extends that invitation to you.

Flicking through these pages, I fell in love with the stunning jackets and knits on offer this winter. It is hard for me to resist a long-line cardi or trench, and there are so many tempting choices this season. Perhaps you are drawn to the rich and diverse colours, prints and checks on offer to spice up your wardrobe this winter.

Or, it could be all about natural fibres for you, and you might invest in a classic wool blend piece from ‘Natural for birds’ that you will love for a lifetime. At this point, I should declare that I’m married to a Merino sheep farmer! This life on the land has given me a deep appreciation for this incredibly durable fibre with its thermal insulation that also, importantly, lets us breathe :)

While our nest is based in Cooma, NSW, we have had a blast hitting the road this year visiting Albury, Wagga Wagga and most recently, Canberra. Biggest thanks to all those who ventured out to meet us, attend a fashion parade or visit the pop up store, we are still on a high from your genuine enthusiasm and support. We are hoping to keep this momentum up and visit more communities in the future!

So taking a pause, this mini mag is an invitation for you to stir your favourite warm drink, curl up on the couch and take some time for yourself.
